Abstract
The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is widely used in aerospace, military defense, equipment manufacturing, rail transit, new energy and other fields for their advantages, such as simple structure, small size, high efficiency and power factor. However, it is difficult to adjust the permanent magnet magnetic field, which limits the further application of PMSM to occasions with wide constant power speed range. To adjust the magnetic field of the PMSM, scholars have done a lot of work and put forward a variety of PMSM electromagnetic structure suitable for magnetic field regulation. The d-axis equivalent magnetic circuits (EMC) of the PMSM in the synchronous coordinate system were established, the magnetic field adjustment mechanism of the PMSM were analyzed, and the magnetic field adjustment methods of the PMSM were summarized. The d-axis EMC of the PMSM with different typical structures were established, and the differences and connections between different magnetic field adjustment methods were summarized. Summarizing the magnetic field adjustment methods and the unified theory for PMSM is conducive to exploring new topological structures of the PMSM with wide constant power speed range, and it can promotes the development of PMSM magnetic field adjustment technology as well.
