Abstract
There were frequent earthquakes in Songyuan City,Jilin Province, which resulted in the obvious struc⁃ tural damage and large economic loss. Because the earthquake intensities were weak and the epicenter locations were not in the large and medium-sized cities, which have not caught the extensive attention. So the seismic perfor⁃ mance and earthquake risk of the building groups in this area should be researched. The group structures of Chagan⁃ hua Town and Ningjiang District of Songyuan City were modeled in the urban earthquake damage simulator (YouSimulator),and the seismic responses analysis was conducted with the measured ground motions of the Songyuan M4.9 earthquake on July 23,2017 and 20 historical ground motions. The structural damage of city and town were compared, and the earthquake risk of group structures was evaluated. The analysis shows that when the economic losses are not taken into account, the earthquake risk of town is higher than that of city. After considering the economic losses, the earthquake risk of city is higher than that of town. The research results of this paper can provide important basis for the disaster prevention and reduction policies before earthquakes, emergency rescue during earthquakes, and post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction in the Songyuan area.
