Abstract
Because of the advantages in cost and reliability, the electrolytic capacitor-less system is developed and applied in motor drive system. However, the LC resonance between the line inductor and the film capacitor of the drive system leads to the weak damping, which stimulates the additional high-frequency resonant current. To overcome this problem, a novel control strategy of the LC resonance is proposed in this paper. By applying the derivate feedback strategy, harmonics of the grid current can be reduced obviously. Meanwhile, the power factor of the grid side also can be improved, and the stability of the drive system can be enhanced. Experiments on an electrolytic capacitor-less air-conditioner demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. By using the proposed method, the LC resonance can be effectively suppressed and the input current satisfies harmonics restrictions in IEC 61000-3-2 standard.
