Abstract
In order to meet the coordination between the speed of the highway and the linear design of the highway, improve the safety of the vehicles running on the highway and carry out a research on the evaluation of the consistency of the highway design, the interactive road safety design model (IHSDM) is used to evaluate design consistency based on the collection of actual highway alignment and accident data, the evaluation results is compared with actual accident data, and the applicability of the model is analyzed. Based on the deficiency of the model in the application of China expressways, a comparative analysis of the sections with problems in design consistency and the sections with linear designs is performed to verify the effectiveness of the improved model. The analysis results show that the evaluation accuracy of the improved model is 83.3%, which is 25% higher than the original model evaluation accuracy. The research results can provide technical support for the safety evaluation of highway alignment design.
