Abstract
Analysis software is an important tool for analyzing and designing composite structures. Commonly-used analysis software for composite structures can be generally divided into three categories: analysis tools for composites based on CAD software, analysis tools for composites in commercial finite element software and professional analysis software for composite structures such as Digimat. Engineers face with so many various choices and they may be confused in applications. This paper presents a review on the current status of the commonly-used analysis software for composite structures. From the academic and application points of view, the main functions, advantages and deficiencies of the related software products are discussed. A particular emphasis is laid on the professional analysis software for composite structures, and the current status and development trends are analyzed. Some key issues on the development of domestic CAE software for composite structural analysis are finally discussed.
