Abstract
To efficiently analyze the non-uniform temperature field of complex steel structures under solar radiation, this paper proposes a parametric analysis method based on the Grasshopper platform. By incorporating meteorological data, shadow effects on structures, and simplified temperature calculation formulas, the proposed method enables efficient and accurate analysis of non-uniform solar temperature fields in complex steel structures. To validate the accuracy of the proposed method, the inclined grid steel structure of the Hytera Global Headquarters Building in Shenzhen was selected as a case study. Real-time temperature and meteorological data were collected from multiple monitoring points over a 10-day period. The results show that the root mean square error(RMSE)of daily temperature deviations between the calculated and measured data is less than 12.5%. Additionally, the calculated non-uniform solar temperature fields were translated into temperature loads for construction process simulation. The solar-induced non-uniform thermal effects were studied during construction, and the recommendations for mitigating thermal effects during the design and construction phases were provided.
