Abstract
The dynamic soil-pile interaction provides an effective way to investigate the seismic design of pile-supported bridge. In this paper, a 3D finite element modeling was established by OpenSees, and a series of parametric studies involving pore pressure ratio, pile diameter, and relative density were conducted to investigate dynamic p-y curves. The influences of p-y curve clusters were investigated and a revised backbone curve was proved. Based on the proposed criterion of pore pressure ratio, a simplified dynamic p-y curve was proposed for practical application. This work can provide some preliminary design suggestions for soil-pile dynamic interaction.
