Abstract

Based on the rapid solidification and hot-pressing sintering process, the alloy powders combined sintering process was designed to form high-performance NiAl-based alloy cylindrical components. The results show that the combined sintering interface of NiAl-based alloy is good, and the interface properties are excellent. The bonding performance of the interfaces between smooth and rough surfaces of sample is similar. Furthermore, there are no defects such as holes and cracks at the combined sintering interface of NiAl-based alloy, which shows a good interfacial bonding. The feasibility of forming high-performance NiAl-based alloy components by the combined sintering method was verified by the interface performance test and analysis. Moreover, based on the combined sintering process of NiAl-based alloy, the NiAl-based alloy cylindrical components with diameter-thickness ratio of 6, outer diameter of Φ60 mm, height of 60 mm were formed, and the overall density uniformity of the components is good, which improves the problem of uneven density of the large diameter-thickness ratio cylindrical components formed by hot pressing sintering.
