Abstract
Optical sparse aperture technique can greatly improve the spatial resolution of the optical system. However, because of the dispersion and sparsity of the aperture, the position errors between the sub-apertures are produced. This paper is focused on the analysis of the tolerance of the sub aperture aberration and position error of two types of optical sparse aperture systems of the common sub-aperture and phased array telescope. The structural differences between the two types of systems as well as the influence of position error and aberration on the imaging results are compared and analyzed. In addition, the error tolerance analysis methods of the two types of systems are given. Finally, the position error tolerances of the the two types of systems are analyzed by Matlab and Zemax.
