Abstract

This paper reviews three kinds of environmentally friendly biomimetic antifouling coatings such as surface microstructure antifouling coatings, antifouling agent-releasing antifouling coatings and anti-seepage antifouling coatings, which can solve problems of marine fouling. The related basic antifouling mechanisms and examples are also introduced and the development direction of environmentally friendly antifouling coatings is expected.
