Abstract
In order to deeply study the main causes of traffic accidents, the concept of imbalance between people and vehicles was put forward. Based on the imbalance between people and vehicles, 35 causes of traffic accidents were classified. Among them, six factors, such as mishandling, behaviors that hinder safety while driving, and improper perception of vehicle distance, were related to the imbalance of human-vehicle interaction. Based on the analysis of the importance of imbalance between people and vehicles, the traffic accidents in Harbin, Nanning and Jilin province were investigated and counted. Among them, Harbin city had adopted the statistical method of all four indexes of traffic accidents to investigate the causes of traffic accidents in a comprehensive and detailed way. The survey results show that among the many factors causing traffic accidents, the accident causes related to the imbalance of human-vehicle interaction account for the largest proportion, and the imbalance of human-vehicle interaction has a great correlation with traffic accidents.
