Abstract
In order to improve the stability of the output voltage of Buck converter under the wide range input voltage, an adaptive hysteresis sliding mode control method was proposed. The design and implementation of sliding mode control is simple, but the switching frequency is not fixed; therefore hysteresis sliding mode current control was applied to the converter such that the converter has a limited switching frequency; besides, in order to enable the converter to work at a fixed switching frequency, adaptive feedforward control was applied to eliminate the switching frequency variation caused by the input voltage variation. Simulation and experiment results show that the proposed control method provides excellent dynamic behavior for large signal, so that the converter can achieve better regulation performance and dynamic performance in a larger working range, and the Buck converter with adaptive hysteresis sliding mode control has strong robustness and stability for large input voltage variation.
